Welcome to Bin Buddies! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of our trash bin handling services. By signing up for or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully.

Service Overview

Bin Buddies provides a trash bin retrieval and return service. We move your bins to the curb on your designated pickup day and return them after collection. Our service follows your local trash collection schedule.

Service Eligibility

To use our services, customers must:

  • Provide accurate and up-to-date contact and service address information.
  • Ensure the property allows safe and clear access to bins.
  • Maintain bins in working condition, including functional wheels and lids.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers must:

  • Keep bins in an open and easily accessible location (not behind locked gates or blocked by vehicles).
  • Maintain a safe, hazard-free path to bins.
  • Secure pets during service times.
  • Notify Bin Buddies of any service changes, pickup schedule changes, or cancellations at least seven days in advance.

Booking Requirements

All services must be booked at least three (3) days before your service start date. If a one-time service is booked with less than three days' notice, Bin Buddies reserves the right to reschedule the service. Refunds will not be issued for late bookings. For monthly subscribers who book less than three days before their requested start date, their official start date will be moved to the next available service window.

First Service Free Promotion

New monthly subscription customers who want to try out our service are eligible for one free service (one pickup and one return) after signup. This promotion applies only to first-time monthly subscribers and is non-transferable. After the first free service is completed, customers must submit payment before their next scheduled service to keep the subscription active. Billing for your monthly plan begins once payment is received. Returning or previously canceled subscribers are not eligible for multiple free services.

Access Requirements

If bins are inaccessible, service may be skipped without refund. Customers must provide any relevant special instructions to ensure access.

Service Window

Bins are typically moved to the curb the night before or the morning of your scheduled collection day. After pickup, bins are returned within 12 hours. Exact service times are not guaranteed and may vary depending on weather, traffic, and operational factors.

Weather Conditions & Holiday Adjustments

Severe weather (e.g., heavy rain, wind, snow, ice) may delay or cancel service. We will attempt to reschedule and may offer a refund for services missed due to severe and unforeseen weather. Services may also be adjusted around holidays in accordance with your local waste provider’s schedule.

Pet Policy

For safety, all pets must be secured during service hours. If an unleashed or aggressive pet prevents service, it may be skipped without refund. We are not responsible for pet-related incidents, such as gates left open by waste collection services.

Missed Services & Refunds

If Bin Buddies misses a service due to our error, we will offer a credit or reschedule. If bins are not accessible at the designated time, no refund or rescheduling will be provided. Cancellations made less than seven days before the scheduled service are non-refundable.

If your trash is not picked up on the scheduled day provided to Bin Buddies, our responsibility is still considered complete. Bins will remain curbside until collected by your waste provider. Bin Buddies does not roll bins back if they are still full. No refunds or rescheduling will be provided in these cases.

Property & Damage Liability

Bin Buddies is not responsible for pre-existing damage to bins or property, or for damage caused by third parties (e.g., neighbors, city waste providers, wildlife, or weather). Claims of damage due to our negligence must be reported within 48 hours.

Waste Restrictions

We do not handle bins that contain hazardous materials, including:

  • Medical waste
  • Flammable substances
  • Sharp objects or broken glass not properly contained

If such materials are found, service may be refused and no refund issued.

Theft or Vandalism of Bins

We are not responsible for lost, stolen, or vandalized bins. If a bin is missing, we will try to locate it, but replacement is the customer's responsibility through their local waste provider.

Subscription & Payments

  • Recurring services are automatically billed according to your selected plan. Subscriptions auto-renew unless canceled before the end of the billing cycle.
  • Payments are due on your billing cycle. Stripe will automatically retry failed payments for up to 14 days. If payment is not completed after multiple attempts, your subscription will be canceled and your address may be removed from our route.
  • No refunds are provided for partially used service periods.
  • For monthly subscribers, billing starts after the first free service. If payment is not completed before your next scheduled service, your address may be removed from our route.
  • Subscriptions can only be canceled effective at the end of the current billing cycle. Stripe will not process early terminations or partial refunds. If you wish to stop service before the billing period ends, you must notify our team so we can remove your address from the route. However, your subscription will remain active through the full billing period unless canceled through the customer portal or by contacting support.

Payment Processing

All payments are securely processed through Stripe, a third-party payment platform. By submitting your payment information, you authorize Bin Buddies to charge your selected payment method through Stripe according to your chosen plan. Bin Buddies does not store any credit card information directly and relies on Stripe’s secure systems to handle all transactions.

Service Pauses

While Stripe does not currently support pausing subscriptions, Bin Buddies offers the option to pause your service route. Customers must contact customer support at least seven days in advance to request a pause. During the pause period, service will not be provided and your address will be removed from our active route. Subscription billing will continue as scheduled and pausing does not pro-rate your current billing cycle or stop auto-renewal. Credits or refunds will only be issued for pauses that last one full month or longer and are confirmed with our team in advance. For shorter pauses, no credit or refund will be provided. To avoid charges during extended time away, customers may cancel their subscription and re-subscribe when ready to resume service.

Right to Refuse or Terminate Service

  • Unsafe, unsanitary, or hazardous conditions
  • Repeated access issues
  • Harassment or abusive behavior

Dispute Resolution & Chargeback Policy

  • Disputes must be first addressed directly with Bin Buddies.
  • If unresolved, disputes will be settled through binding arbitration (excluding small claims court cases).
  • Chargebacks for valid services will be disputed. Unauthorized chargebacks may result in a service ban.

Communication & Notifications

Important service updates, billing notices, or access issues will be communicated via email or text. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure contact information on file is accurate and up to date.

No Service Commitment

Bin Buddies reserves the right to update, modify, or discontinue services at any time with reasonable notice to customers.

Photo Documentation

We may document service completion with time-stamped photos for internal tracking and customer support purposes.

Non-Transferability

Subscriptions are non-transferable and tied to the service address provided at the time of signup, unless otherwise approved by Bin Buddies.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which Bin Buddies operates.
