Frequently Asked Questions

  • Bin Buddies is a convenient bin service that ensures your trash bins are taken out and brought back on schedule. Our service is ideal for busy individuals, families, elderly or disabled individuals, vacation homeowners, property managers, and anyone who wants a hassle-free waste management solution.

  • We come to your home on trash collection days, take your bins to the curb before pickup, and return them after collection.

    • Pickup: We move bins to the curb the night before or early in the morning of collection day.

    • Return: Bins are placed back within 12 hours after trash collection.
      Exact service times are not guaranteed.

  • Requests to change your service — including pickup schedule changes or cancellations — must be submitted at least three days in advance. If changes are made late and we’re unable to accommodate them, we are not responsible for missed service and no refunds will be issued. Any service modifications due to holidays must also be requested at least three days in advance.

  • You can cancel your subscription anytime through the customer portal or by contacting support. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle. Please note that cancellations are non-refundable, and no prorated refunds are provided for unused service periods.

  • Yes! If you need to temporarily pause your service (e.g., due to vacation or extended travel), please contact us at least 48 hours before your next scheduled service. Pauses must be for a minimum of 1 full week and no more than 2 weeks at a time. You may pause up to twice per 6-month period (Jan–June and July–Dec).

    • If you're pausing for more than 2 weeks, you must cancel your subscription. You can resubscribe when you're ready to resume. We can't hold your spot on the route during extended breaks.

      • If you request a service pause, we’ll refund you for the time your service was inactive. The refund will be processed when your service resumes, based on how long the pause lasted. If you need to adjust this date, please contact us at least 48 hours in advance.

  • Bin Buddies does not issue refunds for services that have already been completed. Requests to reschedule or cancel a service must be submitted at least three days in advance. If a request is made after this window and service cannot be adjusted accordingly, a refund will not be provided. Refunds may be granted in limited circumstances at the sole discretion of Bin Buddies - for example, if a service was missed due to a confirmed error on our end.

  • If your bins are stored behind a gate or inside a garage, you must ensure they are accessible before service - or clearly note access instructions on the form you were required to complete before booking. If we arrive and your bins are not accessible (e.g., inside a gated area), we will not be able to complete the service for that week. There are no refunds or credits for missed pickups due to lack of access.

  • If your trash provider misses a scheduled pickup, Bin Buddies is still considered to have fulfilled our service. Our responsibility is to place your bins at the curb on the pickup day you provided. If your bins are not emptied, they will remain at the curb until your waste provider services them. Since we completed our part on time, we do not offer refunds or rescheduling in these situations.

  • Our monthly subscription covers 4 weekly services (1 roll out and 1 roll in per week). If your pickup schedule includes a 5th service in a month, we’ll still take care of it!
